Sharon Picard PhD
Dr. Sharon Picard is a Clinical Psychologist who has been licensed for 25 years. She is experienced in working with children, adults, and parent-child dyads. She is a Registered Play Therapist which means that she is trained in developing, administering, and interpreting play therapy activities. Dr. Picard is also a licensed School Psychologist and has held positions as a School Psychologist and a School Counselor. Dr. Picard has held leadership positions on local and state psychology boards as well as on play therapy boards.

Dr. Picard conducts individual telehealth therapy with children between the ages of 5 and 13. Some common referral concerns include anxiety, depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Child telehealth therapy is a combination of play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy activities.

Dr. Picard conducts individual telehealth therapy with adult clients who present with anxiety, social anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also works with adults who have a history of childhood trauma that they would like to address in order to improve current relationships. Adult telehealth therapy is a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.

Dr. Picard conducts parent-child telehealth therapy with parent and child dyads for children who are under five years old and for older children whose presenting concerns need to be addressed with a parent present as part of the therapy.
